We collect information from you when you register on our website, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey on our website, or fill out a form on our website.

When registering on our website, you may be asked to enter your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number and date of birth.   When placing an order through our third-party payment services provider, you may be asked to provide credit card or bank account information.

What do we use your information for?

We use the information we collect from you in the following ways:

  • To personalize your experience on our site (your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs);
  • To improve our website (we continually strive to improve our website offerings based on information and feedback we receive from you);
  • To improve customer service (your information helps us more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs);
  • To process business transactions;
  • To administer a contest, promotion, survey or other website feature; and
  • To send email messages to you.

When you provide us an email address for order processing, we may use that email address to send you (1) information and updates about your order, and (2) other Georgetown news, updates, related product or service information, etc.  If at any time you wish to unsubscribe and not receive such emails, you may follow the “unsubscribe” instructions at the end of each email.

Do we share your information with other parties?

Your personally identifiable information will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other party or company for any reason whatsoever without your consent, except for the purpose of delivering the product or service you requested.  Also, we may share your personal information with third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or providing services to you on the condition that those parties agree to keep the information confidential.  We also may disclose your personal information to comply with the law, to enforce our website policies, and to protect the rights, property or safety of any party.  Non-personally identifiable information may be shared with other parties for marketing, advertising, and other business uses.

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.

Our third-party payment services provider offers the use of a secure server.  All credit card information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then stored in encrypted form, where it is accessible only by authorized persons and is kept confidential.  After a transaction, your information may be maintained by the third-party provider in order to facilitate any future transactions.

Do we use cookies?

Yes.  Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow such transfers).  Our cookies enable our website to recognize you when you return to our website, to remember and process the items in your shopping cart, to understand and save your preferences for future visits, and for advertising purposes.  They also are used to compile non-personally-identifiable aggregate data about website traffic and website interactions so that we can improve your experience on our website.  We share such aggregate data with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our site visitors, although such providers are permitted to use the data only to help us conduct and improve our business.

If you prefer, you can set your browser settings to warn you whenever a cookie is being transferred, or to block the transfer of cookies altogether.  As with most websites, if you block the transfer of cookies, some of our services may not function properly.  However, you can still place orders over the telephone.

Third party links

We may include or offer on our website products or services that are provided by third parties through the use of links to third-party websites, including to our third-party payment services provider.  Those third-party websites have their own separate privacy policies that govern your use of their websites.  We are not responsible for your use of those third-party websites.  We do, however, welcome any feedback you wish to provide us about those websites.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) Compliance

In compliance with the legal requirements of COPPA, we do not collect information from anyone under 13 years of age, and our website, products and services are all directed to persons who are at least 13 years of age or older.
