TM+ Ticket Resale: FAQs

As a men’s basketball ticket holder, you have the ability to manage and purchase tickets through your MY HOYAS Account. Now, if there’s a game you know you can’t attend and you’d like to post your ticket for sale on Ticketmaster.com, you can do it without even leaving your account

All you’ll have to do is log in to your MY HOYAS Account to manage your tickets as usual and click “Sell.”

How does the price of the ticket get decided?
As part of the process to post your ticket for sale, the system will ask how you want to price your ticket. Aside from some built-in limits set by Ticketmaster (a minimum of $5 and a maximum of $10,000), you can price your ticket however you wish!

Where do these tickets get posted for sale?
Tickets posted for resale through your MY HOYAS Account go straight to Ticketmaster.com/Georgetown, and are available right next to publicly available tickets sold through the Georgetown Athletic Ticket Office.

How will I receive payment for tickets that are sold?
After your ticket sells, a check from Ticketmaster will be mailed to the address we have listed on your account. You can always verify this address by clicking on your name in the upper right-hand corner of your account and then on “Your Account,” where you will then see an option to “Manage My Personal Profile.”

How does the ticket get from my account to the individual who purchased it?
If you post a ticket for resale and a customer shopping at Ticketmaster.com/Georgetown purchases it, the ticket will automatically be transferred from your account to theirs – no action is needed on your part! Don’t worry, this customer won’t know your name or any of your other information. You’ll also still be able to see the ticket in your account, but you won’t be able to manage it.

What if I decide I want to use the ticket I post?
Once a ticket is posted for sale and before it actually sells, you’ll always have the option to cancel the posting. Once you’ve confirmed the cancellation, the ticket will return to your account and you can manage it, as usual! Tickets that are posted for resale that are then purchased by another customer are unfortunately unable to be reclaimed.
