Prior to the game, we were honored to participate in a moment of silence for Chuck Noll, a Dayton alum and football legend who passed away this year. Dayton is a solid program. “Win or Learn” was the message from Brigadier General Sam Nichols to the team in the preseason. On Saturday, we played a good, physical team in Wagner. In spite of the loss, there are definitely some positives to build on. Following the game, I told the team in the locker room that I was proud of their effort. One of our main messages to the team throughout the preseason is to never quit and to always finish.
