Hoya Fans:
The Hoyas took care of business against DePaul last weekend, continuing their success in recent years at home in the snow. A huge thanks to the fans who braved the weather and made it to the game. The Hoyas now hit the road for their next two games:
St. John’s: The Hoyas are back in the Garden this Saturday for a battle against St. John’s (noon ET tip-off). Hoya fans who are heading to the game are invited to an event sponsored by the New York Alumni Club at Mustang Harry’s, 352 7th Avenue.
Butler: The Hoyas then head to Indianapolis for their third game this year against the Butler Bulldogs (7 p.m. ET tip-off).
As a reminder, the final regular season game will be on March 7 against Seton Hall, when we will recognize the wonderful seniors on our team. Let’s fill Verizon Center and provide these men with a fitting tribute and thank you. More to come on Senior Day next week!
Men’s Basketball Alumni Weekend Recap
It was an honor to welcome home over 35 former players and managers for a dinner on Friday evening with Coach Thompson, at the Donor Appreciation Event on Saturday, and at the DePaul game, where our alums were celebrated at halftime. A Huge Thank You to all former players and managers for inspiring us everyday, and making us proud to say We Are Georgetown! A few pictures from the weekend follow:
Donor Appreciation Event – Congratulations to Our Winners!
The snow didn’t prevent many loyal Hoya supporters from celebrating together before the DePaul game for our annual Hoya Hoop Club Donor Appreciation Event. Congratulations to our lucky fans who won tickets to the Hoyas’ first game at the BIG EAST Tournament (Scott Pedowitz F’02 and George Keenan C’65), premier seats to the Hoyas’ last home game of the season against Seton Hall (Dennis Carroll), and an autographed basketball signed by your 2014-2015 Hoyas (Dave Wulff)!

A Tribute to a Hoya
The Hoya Hoop Club would like to pay its respects to a tremendous Hoya, Steve Sullivan B’67, who passed away in 2014. Several men’s basketball alums were fondly remembering Steve this past weekend. Steve graduated from Georgetown in 1967 and was the highest NBA draft pick in school history at the time when he was selected 14th by the Detroit Pistons. In 2007, in conjunction with the celebration of 100 years of Hoya basketball, Steve was named to the 20-player honorable mention squad of the Georgetown all-century team. Steve had a successful professional career in Italy and Spain, and after basketball he ran an import and export business in Europe. Steve is missed by fans around the globe.
