After being named BIG EAST Freshman of the Year in 2014, Arun has followed up with a superb sophomore year as the Hoyas went a perfect 9-0 to win the BIG EAST Regular Season Championship. The midfielder was Georgetown’s second-leading scorer in conference play with two goals and two assists to his credit for six points as well as two games winners. The most encouraging sign from preseason thus far is that our primary attacking core of goal scorers consisting of Allen, Muyl, Campbell, McCabe and Basuljevic, are all looking dangerous and scoring goals accounting for all eight of the goals scored during preseason. The five member senior class of Tomas Gomez, Austin Martz, Jared Rist, Tyler Rudy, and Tom Skelly will leave the Hilltop with some impressive accomplishments. They accumulated an overall record of 57-18-14, which are the most wins and fewest losses of any four year group going through the program. They made the BIG EAST Tournament all four years, won the BIG EAST regular season title twice, and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16, the NCAA Elite 8, and the NCAA National Final. Continue reading →
Spring training has wrapped up for us here on the Hilltop, and our home exhibition against Duke tied it up nicely with a bow. Duke provided a very young, but very athletic and talented matchup for us. While we didn’t play poorly in the first half, we managed to concede two goals on two shots to go into halftime in a hole.
