Georgetown Track & Field shined at Distance Night at Penn Relays as senior Jonathan Green won the men’s 10,000-meter run! Green, an All-American in the 10,000-meter run, became the first Hoya to win the 10,000-meter title, the 30th installment of the event at Penn Relays, dating back to 1978. Dionna leads the team scoring 15 points per game, while on the defensive end leading the team with 89 steals as the Hoyas finished the regular season with a 17-11 record. Georgetown Men’s Lacrosse junior Matt Behrens’ impact extends well beyond the lacrosse field – twice named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and is a member of the Patrick Healy Fellowship, promoting diversity on campus. Junior Liz Wenger has been an integral part in its championship season and the junior was named All-BIG EAST Second Team for the second-straight year. As a senior, Rachel Skonecki has made her presence felt as a netminder through her career on the Hilltop. Rachel is ranked second in the BIG EAST and seventh in Division I in saves per game, has posted 10 or more saves in a game four times this season and 14 times in her career.
