Georgetown sophomore women’s soccer player Rachel Corboz was named the BIG EAST Conference Midfielder of the Year on Tuesday, November 3. Rachel leads Georgetown in scoring with 28 points, leading the team with 10 goals and eight assists. She is third in the BIG EAST in points scored, tied for third in goals and tied for second in assists. The Hoyas finished the regular season with an 11-5-2 overall record and a 6-1-2 mark in the BIG EAST, earning the No. 2 seed in this week’s postseason tournament. A senior on the Hoya field hockey team, Louise has served as a team captain for two years. In the 2015 season, Louise currently has tallied three points with one goal and one assist. In his senior season, Kyle Nolan has led the Hoyas’ offense with veteran savvy, averaging 196 yards of offense through the air with five touchdowns on the season. After his performance in Georgetown’s 34-7 win over Marist, Kyle was named Corvias Patriot League Football Offensive Player of the Week after completing 21-34 passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns. Senior Mitch Hugdahl is part of a 10 member senior class that has engineered the reemergence of the Hoya Men’s Lacrosse under BIG EAST Coach of the Year Kevin Warne. Mitch scored a goal in the Hoyas’ BIG EAST Championship semifinal game win versus Marquette, his fifth on the season. The lacrosse team entered the BIG EAST Championship #12/13 in both national polls with a 9-5 record and will face Denver in the BIG EAST Championship game. Let’s go In the Huddle with Mitch! As a senior captain, Ryan Busch has helped propel Georgetown Baseball to 18 wins on the season, in the heart of the BIG EAST Conference schedule. In the 2015 season, Ryan has 35 hits and has scored 28 runs (3 home runs), while tallying 15 RBIs. An art major at Georgetown, Ryan was also named to the Capital One Academic All-District First Team, as well as being an Academic All-BIG EAST selection in the 2013-14 academic year. As a senior captain, Caroline Tarzian has made a tremendous impact on the Georgetown Women’s Lacrosse team in her four years on the Hilltop. Caroline is a three year All-BIG EAST honoree and currently leads the Hoyas this season in goals (16) and assists (7). As a junior, Nevin Snow has made a tremendous impact on Georgetown’s illustrious sailing program. In November, he was part of the Hoya team that won the ICSA Match Race National Championship for the second year in a row, the program’s 13th national championship. Nevin was also a member of Team USA, represented by four Hoya sailors, which won the 2014 World University Match Racing Championship in Trentino, Italy. Let’s go In the Huddle with Nevin!
