Georgetown Men’s Lacrosse junior Matt Behrens’ impact extends well beyond the lacrosse field – twice named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team and is a member of the Patrick Healy Fellowship, promoting diversity on campus. Named a team captain for the 2016, Nic has played in over 40 games as a Hoya, starting six at close defense during his junior season. Nic finished the 2015 season with seven ground balls and two caused turnovers, including a career-high three ground balls in a win over Hobart. Senior Mitch Hugdahl is part of a 10 member senior class that has engineered the reemergence of the Hoya Men’s Lacrosse under BIG EAST Coach of the Year Kevin Warne. Mitch scored a goal in the Hoyas’ BIG EAST Championship semifinal game win versus Marquette, his fifth on the season. Two-time team captain Reilly O’Connor started 12 games at attack for Hoya Lacrosse in 2014, tying for third on the team with 15 goals and 12 assists. Our coaching staff has been very pleased with the team’s attitude and effort in practice. We’re far from a finished product at this point but we have consistently improved each week.
